What Auxiliary Machines Are Needed For The PET Preform Production Line?

Strictly speaking, if you want to achieve higher production efficiency and reduce labor costs, an automated PET preform production line needs to be equipped with some auxiliary equipment for automatic operation in addition to injection molding machines and molds, such as PET dehumidification dryers, Air dryer, automatic feeder, chiller, etc.
1. PET dehumidification dryer
If the PET material is not completely dry, the surface of the preform after injection molding will look blurred, affecting the quality of the preform. Therefore, in order to fully dry the PET material, the dehumidification dryer is an important step before production.
Generally, most PET preform injection molds are multi-cavity. Before choosing an injection molding machine model, attention should be paid to the actual weight of the preform and the consumption per hour.
Total consumption per hour = (3600 / cycle time) * weight of dehumidifier * number of mold cavities
In order to achieve better stability, usually the weight of the dehumidifier should be at least 1.35 times the actual consumption.
2. Air dryer
Since moisture will be absorbed during packaging, transportation and recycling, an air dryer should be used to dry moisture from the surface of the material. The type of air dryer should depend on the tonnage and hourly consumption of the injection molding machine. The material loading capacity of the air dryer also needs to be greater than the hourly consumption.
3. Automatic feeding machine
After the PET material is dehumidified and dried, the automatic feeding machine will automatically transport the PET material to the hopper of the injection molding machine, but it should be noted that the pipeline of the automatic feeding machine needs to be designed for high temperature resistance, and the ordinary pipeline may be damaged after working for a long time. Melt and affect daily production.
4. Chiller
Usually, the PET preform mold is made of hardened steel S136. Once the mold is put into mass production, it must be connected to a water pipe for cooling, otherwise the mold may break due to working in a high temperature environment for a long time.
The chiller can cool the PET preform mold and shorten the molding cycle of the preform. The chiller model should match the tonnage of the PET injection molding machine.
To sum up, four kinds of auxiliary machines are necessary for the PET preform project. Other auxiliary machines, such as mixers, pulverizers, mold temperature controllers, air compressors, conveyor belts, embryo picking machines, visual inspection systems, etc., depend on the actual project needs of customers.
